Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is saying "thank you" to the President.
After giving President Biden a tour of Southwest Florida communities devastated by the storm, DeSantis credited Biden's approval of a major disaster declaration for allowing first responders from around the country to move in as soon as the weather cleared.
Nearly 100,000 structures have been searched so far and more than 2500 rescues have been performed.
More than 45 million bottles of water and two million pounds of ice have been handed out.
A temporary bridge to Pine Island has also been constructed and opened.
