Invoke The Insurrection Act For Protests? - Tuesday Sixty Minute Poll

A law called the Posse Comitatus Act prohibits the domestic use of military for law enforcement purposes without specific congressional authorization, but a different law, the Insurrection Act, provides the president authorization to do so under certain circumstances. It is that law which President Trump has threatened to invoke if governors can't get control of the rioting, looting, and protesting in their cities and states.

The law has been used sparingly including during the Los Angeles riots of the 90's and to desegregate Southern schools in the 50's.

Should President Trump send active duty military to cities and states to stop the protests and looting? TUESDAY 60 MINUTE POLL
