According to a survey by YouGov 54% of respondents in a recent survey of professionals ages 18-74 working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic has had a positive effect on workers’ productivity. The positives came from time saved from commuting (71%), fewer distractions from coworkers (61%) and fewer meetings (39%). There is a downside though also 25% of respondents say working from home has had a negative impact on their productivity. The main reason cited was that it takes longer to get answers and information from co-workers. Another aspect is the loneliness many experience when working at home.
