It seems every few weeks we hear a story about an active shooter incident many times at a workplace. A disgruntled ex-employee, former spouse or boy/girlfriend comes back to the office or workplace and kills not only the intended target but others and themselves sometimes. Many people feel like it couldn't happen where they work and so no steps are taken to protect against it or prepare for it should it happen.
Radio and TV stations are normally on lock down and people need to be buzzed in, but that's not the case in most business open to the public. Does your workplace have an active shooter plan in place right now? has one been suggested? would you feel more comfortable knowing you had one in place?
