Two Toledo city council members are exploring an ordinance that would ban employers from asking applicants what their previous salary was. Nick Komives and Yvonne Harper will bring the issue in front of Toledo city council today. The council persons explain that according to figures they have seen that women, and women of color especially, are losing money over the course of their work lives because employers start them at lower salaries.
