Late yesterday President Trump conceded to Nancy Pelosi's demand that he wait until after the government shutdown to give his yearly State Of The Union address. Trump and Pelosi have been battling out in public about whether or not the President could or would give the annual address to Congress after Pelosi rescinded her original invitation to do so.
Trump had threatened to give it anyway, and in fact there were suggestions he might give it in a different location or do it in writing as previous Presidents have done.
Claiming Pelosi "doesn't want to hear the truth" President Trump finally gave in and said he will wait until the shutdown is over before delivering his address. He also cited the historic nature of giving the address to Congress in the House chamber.
If it were up to you how would you describe the State Of The Union?
