The 8th Annual Fatherhood Walk is coming soon! Saturday 9 at Central Catholic High School. This year activities will feature a 5K Run in preceeding the traditional walk. One hundred percent of the registration fees for the 5K will go towards the annual Dads and Kids Kampout scholarship fund. The entry fee for the 5K is $20 online, $25 the day of the run. The "Walk" and family fun activities is free! Free food, Free live entertainment, and free family fun. Come out and join us to raise awareness about the importance of the roles fathers play in the lives of their children.We are facing an epedemic in our nation that is more devestating than the opiate and heroin epedemic.24 million children a year live in a father absent household, facing an increasing likeliness of high school drop-out, poor educational achievement, poverty, criminal activity, anti-social behavior, drug use, teenage pregnacy, and mental health issues than those who are raised in a two parent household. Each of these outcomes are destroying the hopes, dreams, visions, and lives of these children.The Fatherhood Walk/5K Run hopes to reverse these trends and restore fathers back into the family and lives of children. Come out and run, walk or just enjoy an amazing family fun day to support our cause.
