A Washington state high school football coach has been taking a knee after games and saying a prayer at mid field. A comment from an opposing coach brought the matter to the attention of the athletic director and school board who told Coach Kennedy to halt the practice. He did stop praying in the locker room and with students but on occasion would return to the field alone to pray at the 50. The coach eventually was put on leave and did not pursue a contract for the following year, but did pursue a lawsuit. That case is now in front of the Supreme Court.
