As expected Florida Governor Ron DeSantis revoked the special district status for Disney World and most people don't realize five other special districts. The bill will dissolve any special district established before November 1968. The bill won't take effect until June 1 2023 and most likely will end up in court based on current Florida law. It will also more than likely cause some Florida tax payers to see an increase in taxes to cover the costs of what Disney and the other districts now pay for.
