Record-breaking temperatures have soared well past 100 degrees across Oregon and Washington states, where both are trapped beneath a blistering heat dome. Portland broke records three days in a row, spiking at 108 on Saturday, 112 Sunday and 116 Monday. Some streets have buckled, power cables are melting, and much of the populace is having a tough time finding solace from the heat. Just how bad is it in the Great Northwest?
