Senators on the Intelligence Committee were briefed last week on what the CIA believes may have been "energy attacks" overseas and a possible similar attack near the White House recently. An NSC staffer developed conditions very much like those who suffered the debilitating array of symptoms known as "Havana syndrome," which can include severe headaches, fatigue and loss of hearing. Some officials believe a type of weapon that aims pulsed radiofrequency energy at its victims may have been used in the attacks. The briefing, done by CIA staffers, were unable to give a clear timeline of when information had been discovered or why it took until recently for Congress to find out about it.
