Employees of Simon & Schuster have complained about the publishing giant being involved with Mike Pence's new book. A petition signed by 216 employees and outsiders are asking the company to refrain from treating “the Trump administration as a ‘normal’ chapter in American history”. They go even further and refer to the former Vice-President as someone who championed policies that were racist, sexist and discriminatory toward the LGBTQ+ community.
The company has responded that they will publish the Pence book and that it will be “the definitive book on one of the most consequential presidencies in American history.”
