The Biden administration is trying to decide how to deal with the upcoming Winter Olympics in China. The State Department suggested that a boycott was a possibility but now another spokesperson says that has not yet been discussed. Ned Price, one of the spokesmen, said “Part of our review of those Olympics and our thinking will involve close consultations with partners and allies around the world.” Major League Baseball recently decided to boycott the city of Atlanta and move the All Star Game to Colorado. Should the US government take as strong a stand against the human rights abuses of the Chinese leadership and boycott the games or should participating athletes compete but then refuse to accept medals as a stand for human rights.
