The Jefferson Center will soon become an innovation and job training center under a new agreement between ProMedica, which owns the building, and Bitwise Industries of Fresno, California. Bitwise, co-founded by UT grad Irma Olguin Jr, describes itself as a "tech ecosystem, activating human potential to elevate underdog cities around the country."
The project includes a $30 million renovation of the building that will create hundreds of jobs. When finished the new center will act as an incubation hub and skill center.
