Ten Senate Republicans, Ohio's Rob Portman among them, met with President Biden on Monday to pitch a pared down, $618 billion coronavirus aid package. The meeting which lasted two hours was characterized by Portman as "good" but so far no sign of compromise has shown itself. In fact on the Democrat side Sen. Chuck Schumer has repeatedly said if compromise can't be reached his party would have to go it alone.
Should the Republicans in Congress try to work with President Biden or allow the Democrats to go it alone and take either the credit of the blame that goes along with the huge package they are asking for.
