TOLEDO, Ohio - The City of Toledo announced Friday that it will begin daily testing for microcystin in the city's drinking water.
WTOL 11 reports water is usually tested every Monday, Wednesday and Friday but the city will now test daily until the end of the harmful algal bloom season.
The city emphasizes that there are no issues with the tap water and recent readings from the raw water at the intake crib contained microcystin levels under 5 parts per billion. Tap water readings showed a non-detectable level.
