Cherry Street Mission Asking For Donations To Address Water Shortage

TOLEDO, Ohio - Cherry Street Mission Ministries is asking for help in addressing a shortage in their water supply.

The Mission says that if a water emergency were to take place today, the organization only has a five day supply of drinking water. Experts in disaster preparedness suggest a 30 day supply for shelters such as Cherry Street. Proper emergency preparedness entails having 1 gallon of water, per person, per day for drinking only.

Cherry Street is looking for the following items:

  • Single use bottled water
  • 1 gallon jugs
  • 5 gallon jugs

They are also accepting monetary donations to purchase water.

Monetary donations can be mailed to: Cherry Street Mission Ministries, 1501 Monroe Street, Toledo, OH 43604 or you can donate online at cherrystreetmission.org.

All other donations can be made at 1501 Monroe Street, off 16th Street at the Life Revitalization Center building Monday through Friday from 10am to 2pm.
