TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo Mud Hens unveiled a new upgrade Tuesday to Fifth Third Field.
The main video scoreboard in left field has been expanded to a 2,500 square foot display that measures 37 feet high by 68.5 feet wide. The new display also offers wide angle visibility.
"This is project that we've been working on for a couple of years. The Mud Hens worked closely with the Lucas County Commissioners to make this project happen and its really a mission to keep Fifth Third Field fresh and keep Fifth Third Field as one of the best ballparks in the country," Hens General Manager Erik Ibsen says.
The park's ribbon display boards were also upgraded. The two displays now stretch over 1,100 square feet, measuring 3.5 feet high by 157 feet long.
Opening Day for the Hens is Thursday, April 4.
