TOLEDO, Ohio - Both issues on the ballot in Toledo's special election Tuesday passed relatively easily.
The Keep The Jail in Downtown Toledo charter amendment passed overwhelmingly, by a vote of nearly five-to-one. The race to approve the Lake Erie Bill of Rights was closer but still earned passage by a two-to-one margin.
More than 16,000 ballots were cast for a voter turnout of 8.9%.
