TPD Officer Sentenced for Crash

(Toledo, OH)  TPD officer Mohamad Nasser was sentenced on Thursday after he was found guilty for speeding during an on-duty crash that left him and another driver seriously injured last December.

Nasser was sentenced to 360 days in jail. His sentence was suspended.

The officer was not responding to an emergency on Dec. 15 when he collided with an SUV while traveling 31 miles per hour above the speed limit while running a red light.

Police said Mr. Nasser was a community services officer who was picking up toys for a holiday toy drive.
