Study May Lead to Hundreds Needing Flood Insurance

(Toledo, OH) Hundreds of Toledo residents may need to shop around for flood insurance following the release of a new federal study.

Last month, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed an effort to update area flood maps.

Officials say about two thousand properties in Lucas County may be affected, some 700 of which are in Toledo.

A meeting to discuss the issue and its impact on residents is scheduled for Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m., in the lobby of the Toledo Train Station
