Common Pleas Court to Donate Ballistic Vests

(Toledo, OH)  Lucas County Common Pleas Court officials are making a life-saving donation. Administrators and deputies are donating extra ballistic duty vests to the Armor of God Project, a nonprofit that connects law enforcement professionals nationwide in need of ballistic vests.

The LCCPC purchased new vests due to a five-year expiring manufacturer warranty but say that some of the vests are less than a year expired with research saying those vests can still stop various bullets after a warranty is over.

The newly purchased vests are priced at about $900 each with funding coming from the courts budget.
