The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced that it will post troopers at an OVI checkpoint to deter and intercept impaired drivers this week.
The county where the checkpoint will take place will be announced the day prior, with the specific location to be announced the morning of the checkpoint.
The OSHP also reminds drivers that they should designate a driver or make other travel arrangements if they plan to consume alcohol.
Operational support for the sobriety checkpoint will be provided by local law enforcement agencies.
