Area First Responders Train for Active Shooter

posted by Rudy Mireles -

First responders in Perrysburg are better prepared for an active shooter.

Perrysburg fire, police and EMS personnel held an active shooter-training session at Penta Career Center on Sunday.

The training session, called a Tactical Emergency Care class, taught participating personnel how to move in and treat victims wounded by a gunman as soon as possible.

The class comes on the heels of an active shooter incident in Cincinnati on Thursday where the gunman killed three individuals before being shot dead by police.
