(Put-in-Bay, OH) A little Lake Erie island is getting ready for it's second-ever Bash on the Bay.
Some of Ohio's favorite sons are headlining this year's concert on Put-in-Bay. Country music superstars Rascal Flatts are the main attraction in a concert that features five musical acts this year. Food and beverage trucks will take up residence on the tarmac.
The Miller Ferry and Jet Express altered their ferry schedules to provide late night boat service to and from the island. The airport is, of course, shut down to incoming air traffic temporarily to host the festival, which requires approval from the FAA.
The concert is actually held on the tiny airport's lone runway. Last year's Bash on the Bay featuring Toby Keith drew a crowd of around 12,000 fans. Gates will open at 3:30 p.m. Thursday and tickets are still available.
