(Toledo, OH) another road project is running behind schedule.
According to ODOT, commuters will be dodging orange barrels a month longer than expected on the Anthony Wayne Trail. Road crews are 30 days behind on th eeffort to rebuild a railroad bridge over the tracks that run underneath the expressway at City Park Avenue.
A busy train schedule is a big factor in slowing work on the new bridge. Norfolk-Southern cannot halt train traffic along the much-used rail line, so crews must work around the oncoming cargo trains.
The project is expected to run well into next year, but a repaving project down the Anthony Wayne Trail between South and Glendale Avenues will wrap up in October.
