Magee Marsh to Remain Closed Through Fall

(Oak Harbor, OH) One of northern Ohio's most popular tourist attractions will remain closed through fall.

State wildlife officials say the Magee Marsh Wildlife Area along route two and the Sportsman’s Migratory Bird Center will remain shut down through mid-December because of unexpected delays in a bridge repair project.

That project involves removing and replacing two road bridges in the wildlife area, with a completion date of December first.

The Black Swamp Bird Observatory will remain open to the public, but wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers are encouraged to visit nearby attractions instead, like the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, Howard Marsh Metropark, and Maumee Bay State Park.
