(Bowling Green, OH) Today starts a big population shift in Toledo and Bowling Green this weekend.
Students start returning to campus at Bowling Green State University, as freshman move into the dorms. Mercer Road near campus will be closed from East Wooster Street to Poe Road from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., to help traffic flow as BGSU freshmen move into the dorms.
University officials are predicting significant student growth in first-year and transfer students for the fall semester. BGSU is trying to wrap up what remains of 56 construction projects that took place this summer.
University of Toledo students also are moving into housing in and around campus, a process that will last through the weekend for the start of classes at both universities on Monday.
