(Bowling Green, OH) Preliminary work on a busy I-75 interchange is getting underway in Wood County.
The entire bridge deck over I-75 at the Bowling Green exit will be replaced, so work has begun to put up a wooden work platform so concrete can be removed between the bridge's beams. Traffic is now reduced to one lane each direction crossing the bridge.
The t$10 million project also involves construction of roundabouts at the freeway ramp intersections on the east and west sides of the bridge. Medians will be removed on either side of the span before the roundabouts get underway.
ODOT also plans to close the southbound I-75 exit for two weeks later this fall, but no dates have been announced yet.
