(Toledo, OH) More than 20,000 Toledo students head back to class.
Toledo Public Schools is officially back to school today and tomorrow, with high school freshmen spending a full day officially making the transition to 9th grade and getting acclimated to one of the six TPS high schools. Elementary-age students will spend a half-day in class to get acclimated again.
Remaining high school students report to class tomorrow.
Students, parents, faculty, and staff will find every TPS campus is now tobacco-free. The ban includes athletic events and after-school activities. Even electronic cigarettes are being considered tobacco and banned from all TPS facilities.
