Rossford Students Brace for School Year Sacrifices

posted by News Radio 1370 WSPD & 92.9-FM -

(Rossford, OH) Rossford schools is preparing for a year of transition starting next week.

Rossford students, teachers, and staff are bracing for a bit of chaos outside the classroom while the old junior-senior high school complex comes down and a new one goes up. Demolition is running according to schedule, but administrators expect a bit of confusion as students head for unfamiliar classrooms in strange places.

Rossford has a staggered start for students next week, but the sacrifices also will affect athletes and teams during the academic year.

Not only will Rossford High School students be housed at Owens Community College through the end of 2019, but school demolition and construction mean renovations to the football stadium and various teams in different sports will play their games in unfamiliar places.
