Toledo Serial Killer Granted Release From Prison

(Toledo, OH) A Lucas County judge honors a plea agreement which releases a Toledo serial killer.

Convicted serial killer Nathaniel Cook will spend six months at the Lucas County Work Release Program.

The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council will help Cook adjust to life outside of prison after serving a 20-year prison sentence.  Cook has two sisters living in the Toledo area who have said he can live with them following the work release program.

A Lucas County Common Pleas judge granted Cook's motion for judicial release Thursday due to a plea agreement in 2000, where Cook admitted to his role in a series of rapes and murders committed with his brother in the 1980's. His brother is serving a life sentence for that killing spree.
