Toledo City Council To Vote On Mayor's Regional Water Commission

TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo City Council will decide whether to put a plan to create a regional water commission on the November ballot. 

WTOL 11 reports Council approved the vote at Tuesday's meeting. It is scheduled to take place on August 14, at next Tuesday's meeting. If approved, the charter amendment would appear on the November ballot.  

The plan, which would give council the power to veto water rates and let Toledo keep ownership of Collins Park Water Treatment Plant.
