TOLEDO, Ohio - Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz announced Tuesday his pick to become Toledo's fire chief.
Toledo Fire and Rescue Department Battalion Chief Brian Byrd has been tapped to become the department's next chief, replacing Chief Luis Santiago.
Santiago announced earlier this year that he will retire. His last day on the job will officially be August 3.
