Toledo Woman Charged for Racist Graffiti

(Toledo, OH) A Toledo woman is due in court, accused of spray-painting racial graffiti on a vacant home.

47-year-old Patricia Edelen is facing misdemeanor charges of ethnic intimidation, criminal mischief and damaging property after police arrested her for spray-painting the 'N' word and "Hail Trump" on the front porch of the vacant home that was for sale.

Neighborhood residents alerted a real estate agent attempting to sell a client's house on Ogden Avenue.

Outraged neighbors came together Sunday to wash the offensive language from the home. Toledo's mayor called the vandalism "hearbtreaking," but stated the response of community residents who cleaned up the graffiti "warms my heart."
