(Toledo, OH) Toledo makes another top ten list-- this time for its great outdoors.
The Toledo metro area ranks eighth among a top 25 list of best cities in the U.S. for quick access to outdoor space, the most parks per capita, as well as the best air quality and climates.
Toledo scored high with 11 acres of parks per 1,000 residents and high spending on parks-- $41 per 1,000 residents. Not surprisingly, at number 8, Toledo is the highest-ranking cold-weather climate in the survey by potsplantersandmore.com, with an average monthly temperature of 53 degrees.
The Glass City was the Ohio city in the top 25, ranked right up there with New Orleans, Las Vegas, Jacksonville, and Honolulu. The survey used data from The Trust for Public Land, Zillow, U.S. climate data, and the federal EPA.
