(Swanton Twp., OH) Lucas County Commissioners are expected to approve a big tax break today.
Locally-owned Tron-air is making more $5 million worth of improvements to the former BAX Global facility at Toledo Express Airport, so Lucas County Commissioners plan to give the go-ahead to a 100 percent tax abatement to the increased property value over the next 15 years.
Tron-air is involved in the design, manufacture, and sale of ground support equipment for business, commercial and military aircraft, such as the rollaway stairs passengers use to get off planes.
Tron-air expects to add 100 new employees during the expansion, as it moves from its headquarters in the village of Holland to Swanton Township.
