Fourth in the 419 Offers Double Fireworks

(Toledo, OH) You have two chances to see fireworks in downtown Toledo the next two evenings.

The Toledo Mud Hens are putting on Rock-n-Blast following this evening's game against the Columbus Clippers--  a 20-minute show, synced to music, features fireworks shooting from downtown Toledo rooftops, the warning track at Fifth Third Field and along Monroe Street.

The Fourth in the 419 celebration continues on Independence Day, where Promenade Park will open at 3 p.m. for some family-friendly activities while people scout out a good spot to view the fireworks.

The Grape Smugglers take the Hensville Park stage at 6:30 p.m. for a free concert, followed by a performance by the Toledo Symphony at 9 p.m., just an hour before they play patriotic music alongside the 10 p.m. fireworks display.

Rooftop viewing parties are being held, while boaters can watch the fireworks from the Maumee River. The Docks and Middlegrounds Metropark are also recommended viewing locations.
