(Sylvania, OH) If you really want to celebrate the Fourth of July, you have two chances to hear the Declaration of Independence.
The document that launched American independence will first be read at the historic Lathrop House at the Sylvania Historical Village at 10 a.m., where organizers also are inviting families to visit the only underground railroad station in Northwest Ohio to relive a little more history on the holiday.
The Northwest Ohio Conservative Coalition will observe what's become an annual tradition for that group with a reading of the Declaration of Independence at noon in Hood Park in downtown Perrysburg.
The group is hoping parents bring their kids for a living history lesson celebrating the birth of our country.
