Four Mud Hens Named To IL All-Star Squad

TOLEDO, Ohio - Four Toledo Mud Hens will take the field at the Triple A All Star Game next month. 

Hens shortstop Ronny Rodriguez, outfielders Christin Stewart and Jim Adduci and designated hitter Chad Huffman were named to the International League squad for the July 11th game in Columbus.

Huffman is making his second Triple A All-Star team in his second season with the Hens. In 52 games this season, Huffman is hitting .278 with 24 RBIs and ranks third in the IL with a .388 on-base percentage. 

Stewart leads the IL with 15 home runs, is third in the league with 45 RBIs and is tied for the league lead with 135 total bases. It is his first selection in his first season in Toledo.

Rodriguez is the reigning IL Player of the Month and is currently tied for second in the league with a .315 batting average. He's also second in the IL with a .528 slugging percentage. 

Adduci is in his second season with the Hens. He is currently fourth in the IL with a .306 batting average, third in the league with 21 doubles and fourth in the IL with 45 RBIs. 

The 2018 Triple A All-Star Game takes place July 11th at Huntington Park in downtown Columbus.
