Toledo Parks Launch Summer Activity Program

(Toledo, OH)  A host of outdoor summer activities for youth are being offered at several of Toledo's city parks.

Toledo parks and recreation officials will begin running daytime summer programming at several city parks today, running through just before back-to-school in August.

The "fun-fest" sites will operate 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for kids ages six to 15, offering activities like kickball, arts and crafts, painting, and softball. A free lunch is part of the daily activities at Ottawa, Walbridge, Savage, Westwood, and Friendship, along with the Believe Center.

The outdoor summer activities are being organized to keep kids safe and out of harm's way throughout the summer.
