(Toledo, OH) Toledo kids are invited to take part in the World's Largest Swimming Lesson today.
The aim is to get as many children to learn how to swim in a 24-hour period to prevent drownings this summer. So Toledo's parks and recs department will offer free swimming lessons at three of its public pools-- Roosevelt, Pickford, and Jamie Farr Park-- in partnership with the Josh Project.
Aquatic facilities across the country are taking part in the effort.
Those Toledo swim lessons will be available from 1 to 3 p.m., but registration starts at noon and participants are required to be in position and ready to begin before the official start time.
