(Rossford, OH) Ohio Chatauqua comes to Rossford this week.

A living look at local history through storytelling is the aim of Ohio Chatauqua when the event comes to Veterans Memorial Park in Rossford today through Saturday.

The free, family-friendly series of presentations will feature famous historic characters such as Robert F. Kennedy, humorist and author Erma Bombeck, and feminist Betty Friedan. But well-known local figures also will portray some of their historic heroes.

Farm Labor Organizing Committee founder Baldemar Velasquez will give a presentation on his mentor, civil rights and migrant farm worker activist Cesar Chavez  Wednesday afternoon at the Rossford Library.

Colonel Harold Brown, one of the remaining Tuskegee Airman, will speak about his unit leader, General Benjamin Davis while signing copies of his new book Friday afternoon.
