Perrysburg Home Builder Due in Court

(Ottawa Co., OH) A Perrysburg homebuilder is due in court today.

Ralph Slaske is facing criminal charges after he abruptly closed Slaske Builders abruptly three months ago, while in the middle of some residential construction projects.

Slaske was indicted last month in Ottawa County on a charge of theft of funds, accused of taking $47,000 from an Oak Harbor couple's construction escrow account a week before closing his business.  But there are 12 to 15 other would-be homeowners who could be victims in a growing criminal case.

All of those homes remained unfinished when the custom home-builder shut his doors, leaving suppliers and subcontractors also unpaid.
