The Toledo Rockets football team has scheduled a road game against the Ohio State Buckeyes, to be played September 17th, 2022 at Ohio Stadiuim.
University of Toledo athletic director Mike O'Brien announced the game early Thursday, pointing out that it caps off a 3-year run of big name opponents, as the Rockets will play Michigan State in 2020, and Notre Dame in 2021.
It will be the fourth time the two schools have played against one another on the gridiron. The Buckeyes have won the previous three, including a game between the two schools at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland in 2009, and a close 27-22 OSU win at the Horseshoe in 2011.
Toledo's 2018 season begins August 31st, hosting VMI at the Glass Bowl.
