(Toledo, OH) Fifth Third Field will become one giant playground today.
Habitat for Humanity is hosting what's known as Project Playhouse this afternoon at Fifth Third Field, where corporate teams of volunteers will design, paint, and assemble 30 playhouses to celebrate Habitat's 30th anniversary.
Children who will receive the playhouses have requested designs ranging from princesses and dragons to sports and music. Families will arrive late afternoon and meet the volunteer teams, then the playhouses will be loaded into vehicles following a send-off ceremony at 5 p.m.
Project Playhouse is a program designed to teach young children the pride and joy of homeownership.
