AW Trail Work to Squeeze Traffic to Downtown

(Toledo, OH) Your morning commute from Maumee and South Toledo to downtown is about to become a bottleneck.

This is the day ODOT plans to squeeze the inbound Anthony Wayne Trail down to one lane as work to replace a bridge over a Norfolk-Southern railroad line intensifies. That means lane restrictions only get worse between Western Avenue and Collingwood Boulevard starting today and lasting through November.

Emerald Avenue and City Park will remain closed on either side of the trail while that work progresses.

You could use Broadway as an alternate route into downtown, but that detour will soon have orange barrels in place for a city of Toledo repaving project, too.
