(Sandusky, OH) Cedar Point's latest attraction opens Memorial Day weekend with hot weather.
Cedar Point Shores is an 18-acre water park that opens to the public Saturday, competing with the likes of Kalahari resort down the street in Sandusky.
The water ark is home to 17 attractions, including its six-story Point Plummet, a so-called aqua-drop body slide. The water park also features inner tube slides, a raft slide, a lazy river, and a wave pool. There's also a cafe, ice cream shop, and a beer bar.
Cedar Point is offering free admission to the water park with the purchase of an amusement park ticket. Opening weekend also includes giveaways, live entertainment and the construction of a massive sand castle sculpture.
