Maumee Couple Headed to Ohio Senior HOF

(Maumee, OH) A Maumee couple is about to be enshrined in the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame.

Richard and Frances Anderson will be inducted into the statewide hall of fame next week for their business leadership and philanthropy work in the community, which spans more than seven decades.

Richard Anderson took over the agri-business his father founded in 1986, and shephered the family-owned business into a publicly-traded company several years later. But the couple is also being honored for their civic engagement. Frances Anderson has spent a lifetime serving on the boards of numerous nonprofits, including Mobile Meals, the Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo Symphony, and Boy Scouts, among others. The Anderson Family Foundation has contributed millions over the decades to many local causes as well. Married for 64 years, they have six children, 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, with more on the way.
