(Waterville, OH) ODOT wants to warn the public about a major upcoming bridge closure.
There's a public meeting tonight to fully explain what will happen in a couple of weeks when the state transportation agency closes the Waterville bridge.
An open house today will detail alternate routes as the bridge is closed, along with the intersection of state routes 64 and 65 on the Wood County side starting June 11th. That means one of the most important links between Lucas and Wood counties is closed for a good chunk of the summer.
ODOT is building a new bridge next to the old span, which will be tied in sometime next year. The meeting will run 4 to 6 p.m. at the Waterville branch library.
